MAINTENANCE LABORER

Position Description:

1. Perform any ordinary labor task, such as but not limited to, loading and unloading; moving equipment, furniture, appliances, etc.; cleaning apartments, offices, etc.; digging ditches, laying sod, etc.; cleaning tools, equipment, and working area for various crews.

2. Perform work as a paper pick-up person.

3. Perform janitorial duties, use power hand mower or small garden tractor with attachments.

4. Be responsible for using proper safety equipment, safety shoes, hard hats, etc.; and following good safety practices.

5. Perform laborer tasks for any Manager or crew assigned.

6. Drive truck, tractors, tractor driven power mowers and other related equipment.

7. Participate in on-the-job training activities, working at progressively more difficult tasks as proficiency increases by assisting Maintenance Mechanics or Maintenance Aides in their duties.

8. Perform other duties/tasks as may be assigned.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

2. Ability to work in hot, cold, or dusty places.

3. Ability to grip and use hand tools.

4. Ability to use power driven equipment under guidance from senior staff.

5. Ability to get along with others.

6. Ability to stoop and kneel in order to gain access to work areas.

7. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time (minimum of TWO (2) hours without relief)

Other Requirements:

1. Valid TN Driver's License

2. The ability to Pass Drug Screen
